The objective of this training is to understand the different methods of business valuation in order to apply them better and better meet the needs of your clients.
Indeed, the needs for business valuation are increasingly important. According to experts in the field, more accounting professionals with proven expertise in valuation need to be able to cope with the growing number of mergers and acquisitions.
The ACCA and the Conseil Superiéur Ordre des Experts-Comptables (CSOEC) have joined forces, as part of a strategic partnership to set up high-level, high-value-added business valuation training in response to demand from accountants, finance professionals, and employers in general.
Duration The certificate is divided into 10 units, each lasting around two hours.
Learning You'll get access to a range of learning materials, exercises, multiple-choice questions, and a case study. You will be assessed throughout your training.

The certificate has been created to cover all business valuations from small to listed companies. It has been designed to appeal to small- to medium-sized practitioners, as they are the most likely to need to develop, validate or refresh their knowledge and application of business valuations, but the certificate will suit those who:

How is the certificate assessed/is there an assessment?
There is no formal assessment in terms of questions that need to be passed, but each module has a ‘My notes’ section at the end that the participants must complete. As long as you engage properly with the course content and complete your notes, you will get the certificate. Each candidate accesses their completion certificate themselves online and can save/print as required.
Do learners get a certificate?
Training certificates are accessed online via the course and become available once you meet the completion criteria. The certificates are personalized so do display the name of the individual who has enrolled on the course
Are there organized lectures to attend online, with a set work schedule or are you paying for access to online material you work through in your own time?
Students work through the content in their own time, online, and have a year to complete the Certificate. It is broken down into 1-hour modules with various activities in each module, so it is structured to make your learning journey easy to follow and varied. You can start and finish whenever you like, and work through it at your own pace at any time
Is the course closely linked to the ACCA qualification syllabus?
The course is not aligned to the qualification.
How much video is there in the course?
About 25% of the course is video-based. The three sections describing the various technologies impacting the finance professionals are not video led. They are more knowledge-based and so there are articles, quizzes and activities. The section on digital transformation is much more video led with a series of interviews with the author. Where video is used, subtitles are available.
